Active Leeds Care Experience Entitlement
At Active Leeds we offer memberships free of charge to those living with Care Experience up to the age of 25.
The Local Government Association defines a care experienced person as someone who was in care at any stage of their life. This includes those that have been looked after by foster carers, in a residential children’s home, in kinship care, and supported accommodation or secure units.
Active Leeds offers Leeds City Council registered Foster Carers a free membership for their period of employment as a Foster Carer, this offer is also extended to Special Guardians and Kinship Carers.
Active Leeds also offers Leeds City Council registered Foster Carers, Special Guardians and Kinship Carers own children free memberships up to the age of 18.
