Leeds LGBT+ Sports Clubs
recognise that not everyone always feels comfortable participating in Leeds’
mainstream sports clubs. Because of this, we support sports organisations that
guarantee a safe space for the LGBT+ community. You can find out more about the

The Bad Mittens
This LGBT+ inclusive badminton group launched on Wednesday 20th July 2016, and is already building up to a sizable number of members. The focus of the group isn’t on the competition, but rather the fun and sociable side of the game so therefore we’re currently looking for likeminded people who are beginners (even if you’ve never played before!) to intermediate.
We meet every Wednesday between 8pm and 9pm at Armley Leisure Centre, and bookings for the sessions must be paid in advance via the groups website.
Thanks to funding from the council’s Inner West Community Committee, the group runs a free session once a month for absolute beginners. Please see website for the next available session.
