your steps to a healthier life
What is Leeds Let’s Get Active?
Leeds Let's Get Active is a programme to encourage people who do not do any physical activity to do at least 30 minutes of physical activity, once a week.
Leeds Let’s Get Active supports people to become active through the provision of and access to leisure centre and community sports and activities within a supportive and welcoming environment.
The opportunity is available available citywide and open to all, with at least 1 hour every day in each Leeds City Council leisure centre and physical activity opportunities in a range of community settings.
Launched in 2013, Leeds Let's Get Active has provided a programme of free leisure and community physical activity for three years to a wide range of the borough's population, helping to increase participation in physical activity.
- Over 90,000 people now have a Leeds Let's Get Active card!
- There have been over 510,000 visits to Leeds Let's Get Active sessions
