Hits & Missus

Hits Misuss
Sport England have highlighted that young people start to disengage in sport & physical activity around the age of 14yrs. Leeds Girls Can has a priority to provide support to girls aged 14yrs+ into getting active. In Partnership with Yorkshire Cricket Foundation and their “Hits & Missus” programme Leeds Girls Can has been able to support girls 14+ from diverse communities within the most deprived areas of Leeds.
Community Development Officer- Kendal James invited selected secondary schools to participate in the Hit & Missus Cricket Event . We also invited Dance teacher – Lauren Evans to deliver Bhangra Blaze, incorporating dance & cricket was a great way to engage the girls in the mass warm up. Go to our Facebook page to see the video we made at one of the sessions. If you think your 14+ students fit the criteria feel free to make contact, the more girls playing cricket the better #Leedsgirlscan
