The Leeds Sailing and Activity Centre operated by Leeds City Council, is situated at Tarnfield Park, Yeadon, 8 miles from Leeds City Centre. The Centre offers many sports including: Sailing, Stand Up Paddleboarding, Orienteering and Off Road Biking, see the facilities section for all activities available. The Centre is a Royal Yachting Association Training Centre for Dinghy Sailing, windsurfing, powerboating and shore-based theory courses. A British Canoeing approved activity provider,a British Rowing Training Centre and is licensed by The Adventure Activities Licensing Authority.

All our instructors are fully qualified and experienced to ensure a high level of safety and quality of instruction.

School Packages

We offer a wide variety of school packages ideal for transition days, GCSE qualifications and team building exercises. We take school groups of up to 30 pupils Key Stage 2 and above can take part in our activity package choosing three activities including at least one self programmed activity of problem solving or on-site orienteering. 

Instructed activities include canoeing, rafted canoeing, bellboating, kayaking, raft building, biking, indoor cave, bushcraft. Most of these activities can be run for 10 pupils with one instructor.
