At our Leeds Leisure Centres we offer over 400 classes each week! Here you'll find a description of each to help you find the right one for you.

Active Balance: Improve your flexibility, increase your core strength and find your zen with yoga flows, Pilates, and breath work.

Active Core-Strengthen your core with a range of exercises to improve posture, balance and stability.

Active Hiit-HIIT, or high-intensity interval training, is a training technique in which you give all-out, one hundred percent effort through quick, intense bursts of exercise, followed by short, sometimes active, recovery periods. This type of training gets and keeps your heart rate up and burns more fat in less time.

Active Strength-Utilising weights such as barbells, kettlebells, dumbbells and bodyweight movements, our active strength classes focus on movements that work all the major muscle groups to build and sculpt muscle.

Kettlebells-A dynamic strength-training workout, which incorporates a huge range of exercises. Ranging from basic moves to more advanced techniques.

Aerobics- The classic cardio workout, which incorporates high/low routines, mixed with challenging and exciting choreography.

Aqua Aerobics- Great for muscle tone and definition. The support of the water makes it less stressful on the muscles and joints but gives you a great cardio workout. Suitable for non-swimmers.

Aqua Mobility- This class is designed for beginners that want gentle exercises in water. The class uses a range of water aids as resistance to achieve a full body workout. Good for people with arthritis or mild mobility problems. No music is played during this class.

Aqua Zumba- All the benefits of a traditional Zumba class but with the gentle support of the water.

BODYCOMBAT™ (LES MILLS)- This fiercely energetic programme is inspired by martial arts. Supported by driving music you strike, punch and kick your way through calories to superior cardio fitness.

BODYPUMP™(LES MILLS)- The Original weights class that builds strength, tones your body and pushes you to the limit every time. This workout challenges all your major muscles by using the best weight room exercises.

Box Fit- Elements of boxing and kick boxing incorporating gloves, pads and skipping ropes in a circuit based workout.

Circuits- The complete conditioning workout for every level of fitness. Some circuit sessions will be gym based.

Chair Based Exercise- If you are in a wheel chair or have difficulty, standing this is the ideal class for you. A group exercise session designed to increase mobility, muscle tone and flexibility.

Clubbercise- Bringing a night out to your workout. Fun, easy-tofollow dance fitness routines using rave glow sticks to club anthems from 90′s classics to the latest chart hits taught in a darkened room with disco lights.

Family Clubbercise- Ready, steady, Glow! A fun and social way for families to get fitter together. With a mix of party anthems from the 90’s to the latest hits. Age 7 years plus.

Dance Fit- An aerobic workout for all fitness levels incorporating different dance moves.  Combining music with movement is great for physical and mental wellbeing. This class will make you feel like you’re on the dance floor moving to your favourite tunes.

Functional Fit- Up your training to the next level and reach your true potential with this functional workout. This combination of CV, circuit and core exercises will keep your heart rate pumping to ensure you burn maximum calories. This class will be adapted to suit all fitness levels.

Gentle Exercise- A slower paced low impact class. A great starting point if you are new to exercise or have not exercised for some time.

Health Circuit- Low level class with a mixture of different exercises to support all abilities. These sessions are very beneficial for anyone with long term health conditions especially diabetes, heart conditions and lung conditions.

Health Pilates- Health based Pilates is focused technique for beginners to improve core strength and body balance. Suitable for all people with joint of muscle problems, back problems or want to manage stress.

Health Studio Cycling- Low level studio cycling class to introduce pacing and interval training for people with health conditions.

Health Tai Chi- Tai Chi For Health programmes are modernised versions of Tai Chi that are easy to learn and quicker for gaining health benefits. These sessions are very beneficial for anyone with arthritis or any other long term health condition.

Health Yoga- Health Yoga is focused on flexibility, strength and relaxation. Excellent for people who want to improve physical and mental health.

HIIT Cardio: Short high intensity classes that focus on keeping the energy high to burn fat, tone muscle and build stamina.

Hiit Gym- HIIT, or high intensity interval training, is a technique where you give your all, through quick, intense bursts of exercise, followed by short, recovery periods. This type of training gets and keeps your heart rate up and burns fat in less time.

HIIT Strength: Short high intensity classes that utilize weights such as barbells, plates and bodyweight movements to build and sculpt muscle.

Keep Moving- Low level, low impact exercises for people with health conditions that want to become more active and improve their wellbeing.

Legs Bums and Tums- Legs, Bums, Tums; this all over body conditioning class issuitable for all ages and fitness levels.

Pilates- Pilates emphasises the balanced development of the body through core strength, flexibility, and awareness in order to support efficient, graceful movement.

Pilates Beginners- gentle exercises based on principles of posture, balance , joint stability and core with safe and effective movements to support your daily life.

Pilates Advanced- strong dynamic flow of exercises often with a cardio element designed to challenge core, balance and stability with postural awareness and control

Pilates Yoga Blend- combining yoga inspired postures with Pilate exercises for more focus on balance and suppleness from core strength and stability

Step Aerobics- The classic aerobic workout based around a step.

Strong Nation- STRONG Nation™ combines body weight, muscle conditioning, cardio and plyometric training moves synced to original music that has been specifically designed to match every single move. Every squat, every lunge, every burpee is driven by the music, helping you make it to that last rep, and maybe even five more.

Studio Cycling Family- A Studio Cycling class is great for developing muscular strength and endurance as well as general health and wellbeing. As well as being suitable for all this class allows people of completely different fitness levels to ride side by side. Workout time will be 45 minutes or 30 minutes depending on total duration of the class as the advertised class time includes a safety check and set up of bikes.

As well as being suitable for all this class allows people of completely different fitness levels to ride side by side. Workout time will be 45 minutes or 30 minutes depending on total duration of the class as the advertised class time includes a safety check and set up of bikes.

Studio Cycling RPM- RPM™ is a group indoor cycling workout where you control the intensity. Your instructor takes you on a journey of hill climbs, sprints and flat riding. In an RPM workout you repeatedly spin the pedals to reach your cardio peak then ease back down, keeping pace with the pack to lift your personal performance and boost your cardio fitness. Please be aware that flashing lights are used in these classes. Therefore, this may not be suitable for those customers with Photosensitive Epilepsy.

Swimfit Coached Adults- A coached session for those aged 16+. This session aims to maintain or improve fitness and, or your stroke. Please note this is not a swimming lesson.

Synrgy- A circuit based group exercise class. This class is an innovative, effective fitness system which combines the latest training techniques and methods. Using equipment such as TRX cables, kettlebells, battle ropes and resistance bands. This challenging and exciting session will produce maximum results and is suitable for all fitness levels.

Synrgy Family- A family based group exercise class. This class is an innovative, effective fitness system which combines the latest training techniques and methods. Using equipment such as TRX cables, kettlebells, battle ropes and resistance bands. This challenging and exciting session will produce maximum results and is suitable for all fitness levels.

Virtual Sprint- A 30 minute HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training) based cycling programme. Giving you the flexibility to take a class when you want, a virtual programme with sound and motivation from some of the hottest instructors on the planet. Bikes should fit participants who are at least 1.4m in height. Please be aware that flashing lights are used in these classes. Therefore, this may not be suitable for those customers with Photosensitive Epilepsy.

Virtual The Trip- A fully immersive virtual workout experience that combines a 40 minute multi-peak cycling workout with a journey through digitally created worlds. Bikes should fit participants who are at least 1.4m in height. Please be warned that flashing lights are used in these classes. Therefore, this may not be suitable for those customers with Photosensitive Epilepsy.

Virtual Trip Family- Come along with the family to a fully immersive virtual workout experience that combines a 40 minute multi-peak cycling workout with a journey through digitally created worlds. Bikes should fit participants who are at least 1.4m in height. Please be warned that flashing lights are used in these classes. Therefore, this may not be suitable for those customers with Photosensitive Epilepsy.

Yoga- Yoga is a type of exercise in which you move your body into various positions in order to become more fit or flexible, to improve your breathing, and to relax your mind.

Yoga Hatha- The foundation of all yoga styles. Hatha yoga is a slow and meditative style of yoga with many health benefits.

Yoga Vinyasa- Cordinates movement with breath to flow from one pose to the next​

Zumba- Ditch the workout and join the party. A dance and aerobic calorie burning fitness class incorporating a fusion of dance styles (hip hop, salsa, samba etc).
