Roundhay Park Walk is due to relaunch soon.
Walking groups are great for social interaction and providing some peer to peer support from people that have been or are going through similar health problems.
Meeting Point

Parking
There is a large free car park at the meeting point, including disabled parking.
Toilets
There are toilets available halfway through the walk at the cafe by the lake.
Length of Walk
We have a choice of Parkland walk, 1.5 km and the Formal Gardens. Walk, 1.6km or they can be combined. We do not intend walking on any uneven grass walking and no narrow areas unsuited to social distancing.
What to Bring
• Wear suitable clothing and footwear for walking.
• Bring a raincoat / waterproof clothing if there is forecast of rain.
• Sun hat, sunglasses and sunscreen on sunny days.
• Bring a bottle of water so you can keep hydrated.
• Bring any medication that you may need during the walk (eg, GTN spray).
Additional Information
• Please aim to arrive at the meeting point 5 -10 minutes before start of the walk.
• During the walk please always respect other walkers’ social distancing choices.
Walk Routes
Formal Garden Walk Walk through the specialist gardens at the park, including the new 'Friends of Roundhay Park Garden' at the west end of Canal Gardens. The surface is tarmac. Approx 1.5Km
Parkland Walk
Walk around the architectural past of the park as this walk passes many of the main features. See the Park Arena which has hosted many large events and concerts. Approx 1.6Km
