Cardiac and Respiratory Activity Programme
Active Leeds and Leeds Community Healthcare deliver activities for people that have recently had a heart attack or heart surgery or have Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disorder (COPD). The Heart and Lung Programme provides support for people wanting to rebuild their confidence to move more. You will be provided with a British Association for Cardiovascular Prevention and Rehabilitation (BACPR) and British Lung Foundation (BLF) qualified Health and Wellbeing Coach and together make a bespoke activity plan. All participants will have a pre and post assessment (health check), be able to choose from a menu of local activities and have regular contact with their nominated coach ensure you’re successful in moving more.
To access the programme, you must be referred through the Community Cardiac or Respiratory Teams.
