Junior Membership Activities

Supporting our youngest members

Leeds is committed to being a Child Friendly City and Active Leeds pro-actively supports the use of our facilities and activity programmes by our younger customers, having a vision for Leeds to be the best city to be active in.

We are working with our younger customers to better understand what they require from their visits, whilst supporting them on gym etiquette like everyone.

Demand for use of our leisure centres amongst our younger customers is growing and to accommodate this growth we continually review our programmes; look to reconfigure gyms to increase capacity; and train our staff to improve engagement with young people and give them the support they require.

Young people face many pressures and regular physical activity contributes to improving both their physical and mental wellbeing. Research shows that giving children and young people positive experiences of physical activity is the key to building the foundation of a lasting positive relationship with physical activity.

As a health and wellbeing provider in the public sector, we provide equal opportunities for everyone in our communities to lead active and healthy lives and we strive to deliver a balanced programme that encourages access for all.

What is the Breeze Pass?

The Breeze Pass has replaced the Breeze Card. The Breeze Pass is a digital pass that sits on your phone giving you some pretty cool discounts, VIP experiences, priority bookings and offers to venues, events and different activities across the city and West Yorkshire. It costs £5 per year and gives you tons of savings.

Once you have the Pass on your phone you will get notified of the latest Pass Perks which are constantly being updated and growing. The Breeze Pass is there to help give access to sports, arts and culture to children and young people across the city. As well as making lots of activities cheaper it also gives the chance to experience VIP offers and activities that are only for Breeze Pass members.

Why should I get one?

It means that you can do loads of cool things locally at a cheaper price as well as getting access to VIP experiences, priority booking at key events across the city and lots of other offers. It tells you about activities at your fingertips and on the go on your phone. It makes arts, sports and culture more accessible and gives you lots of savings!

    • Gym Appointments

Your Junior Membership includes access to the gym but you will need to have a gym appointment where you will be provided with a personalised programme and be introduced to the equipment. The cost of your appointment is included in the cost of your membership. For those wishing to attend the gym on a pay and play basis a charge will be made for the appointment. They take approximately one hour and include using the cardio and resistance machines. The appointment is a practical session so you need to wear appropriate clothes and footwear to use the equipment.
