Monday 15 June, marks the first day of our Drowning Prevention Lessons and with over 25,000 children taking part in a host of activities within their school or learn to swim lesson, it's bound to be a busy week of learning!
As part of a national campaign to raise awareness for water safety, and to practise water safety skills, children in swimming lessons will need a clean t-shirt and a pair of shorts/pyjama bottoms (please note onesies are not suitable for this activity) for your child to wear over their swimwear during the lesson. Practicing survival skills while weighed down by wet clothes is one of the most valuable experiences a young swimmer can have. Adult & Baby/toddler lessons will take part in activities but don't need additional clothing.
✨ Get involved in our fun Colouring Competition! We have prizes up for grabs across all our leisure centres. Pick up a colouring sheet next time you’re at the centre or download it here 👇
Don’t forget to bring in your child’s completed entry by Sunday 21 June, we’ll be choosing our winners shortly after! 🏆💛 Pop your child's full name and contact number on the reverse!
